Guarantees

Each Africa Surge Protector is Guaranteed for 2 Years. In this time, we will replace your damaged surge protector, even if it has blown from a surge! Please contact us directly to do the replacement. Some retailers are prepared to exchange the units for you which we inturn replace with the retailer.

The Guarantee and Warranty expire after 2 Years from date of purchase. This however does not necessarily mean the surge protection circuitry has expired or no longer works. In actual fact we have had surge protectors last many more years. As surges are constantly bombarding the surge protectors daily with smaller electrical surges, the surge protector components are only likely to last 2 years under these conditions.

The R20000 Attached Equipment Warranty is like an insurance policy for your registered equipment that is protected by one of our High-end Surge protectors. This warranty is underwritten by our insurance company so their normal business practices apply. The warranty form must be read through carefully and completed in full, then sent via registered post to Africa Surge - Warranty  PO Box 752159, Garden View, 2047, Johannesburg, South Africa.

It is imperative that the equipment's serial number specified under the warranty agreement is included. This is a prerequisite of the insurance policy and cannot be amended or omitted.

The warranty is under written by our insurance company and for this reason we must follow a strict procedure to apply for a claim.

  1. A Claim form will be sent to you to complete and send back to us along with the surge protector.
  2. You are required to obtain three seperate quotes in which a technical report must be supplied to confirm suspected cause of damage to the equipment.
  3. If necessary we may request our in-house technical department to assess the equipment.
  4. Once all the documentation is in place we submit same to our insurance company to approve the claim.
  5. Once the claim is approved and paid, we will repair or replace the damaged equipment.
